Additional Comments
During one drama session, I used Character Carpentry after Ageing Population, this worked well as it continued the character playing theme and got the students working creatively and physically with each other before embarking on the Character Bus (which was LOTS of fun)!! With the Character Bus, the first playing was a little tentative and we had a lot of similar characters entering the bus . . . in the second playing, I encouraged the players to bring contrasting characters / energy levels onto the bus in order to really test and stretch the character playing ability of the group. We took this contrast of character into the Caught In The Act performance piece where I encouraged the players to make a very clear distinction between the authoritarian adults and the children / teenagers. This combination of theatre games worked really well together and made for a cohesive and progressive class.
