Additional Comments
This combination is great as it allows you (the group leader) to be actively involved in bringing drive and energy to the classwork. Be sure to start off “Character Circle” yourself as this will loosen the inhibitions of others in the class . . . the bigger / more outrageous your created character, the more adventurous the students will be with their own . . . With Speed hate, it is a good idea to make the dates short, explosive and creative so only give them a few seconds (in my experience, the participants will just go for it knowing that the end is almost in sight!) . . . I would encourage you to allow group participation with Trash TV, this will give added energy and confidence to the players. Ensure that all groups are given the same enthusiasm and energy from the audience . . . With “What Happens Next”, I would suggest taking a number of possible scenarios before choosing one (this way, you’re more likely to have a strong starting point) . . . this is great for less experienced groups as you can explain WHY you went for certain suggestions and not others . . . they will soon see what ideas make for dramatic progression and interesting storytelling and which ones kill the action! . . . So, all in all this is a very fun combination that is particularly good for less experienced players (but all abilities will enjoy it I’m sure!). . . ENJOY!
