I wanted a drama lesson plan that would encourage players to experiment with status and power in performance. After a couple of fun, physical warm up exercises; we embarked on The Peacemaker and then, the more complex, Power Switch. Both of these exercises proved to be effective in highlighting the issues / themes of the session… there was a clear status and power in performance clearly displayed and the Power Switch exercise was particularly effecive as it allowed the players to experiment with different status / power within one piece of work.
